CEMP Species
‘Harvested species’ are species which are targeted by commercial fisheries.
‘Dependent species’ are marine predators which consume species targeted by
commercial fisheries. They include land-based marine predators such as
penguins.
‘Indicator species’ are predator species with a wide geographical
distribution and which are believed to reflect changes in the availability
of harvested species.
